Elin Ibsen Gustavsen Specialist Advisor

Elin holds a PhD in military sociology and has worked for several years as a researcher in the Armed Forces. Before joining Thommessen, she spent five years at the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST), where she was Head of Strategic Analysis within counterintelligence. As a result, Elin has a deep understanding of the defense and justice sectors. At Thommessen, she contributes to the firm's National Security Advisory with specialized knowledge of the current threat and risk landscape and how it impacts individual sectors and businesses. Elin also has extensive insights into how the government apparatus operates in matters relating to national security. She provides advice in all areas where national security is relevant, including personnel security, the Security Act, foreign direct investment (FDI), and defense and security matters.
