Kristian Pande Horn, who previously served as the head of the Corporate Finance department at Arctic Securities and has extensive experience in the bond and debt capital markets, has returned to Thommessen as a new partner.
Kristian was an Associate at Thommessen from 2008 to 2011. He returned to the firm as a partner at the beginning of the year.
– It has been a great start, and I have been well received by both clients and new colleagues, he says.
Expertise in debt and transactions
At Arctic Securities, he led the Corporate Finance department, providing financial advisory services within M&A and capital markets, with a particular focus on the Nordic bond market and general strategic debt advisory. He covered and worked with all the major Norwegian industries, as well as foreign issuers and clients.
– After the oil crisis in 2014, I was involved in many restructuring processes, both with Norwegian and international creditors, as well as foreign banks. More recently, I have been heavily involved in assisting companies in securing financing in the Nordic bond market and guiding new companies, both Norwegian and international, in navigating the Norwegian capital market, Kristian says.
Broad sector expertise
As a partner, he will work broadly with strategic advisory services for the capital markets, including bond financing, as well as assisting in complex restructurings, M&A, and with direct lending.
– The plan is for me to work across multiple sectors – and I am looking forward to that, says Kristian and adds:
– I can bring my expertise into Thommessen in several ways. One is the academic aspect, the other is my commercial understanding. This, combined with Thommessen's top legal team, is something we believe will provide unique advisory services to our clients.
– I have been a client of Thommessen through Arctic Securities for several years and I know that Thommessen has an outstanding team. They stand out with their broad expertise, and I consider them to be the leading law firm in Norway, especially in the field of capital markets. I'm delighted to become a part of that, Kristian concludes.
